Class Descriptions - each of these classes have limited enrollment
- Tiny Tigers is a fun class introducing students aged 5-7 to the
fundamentals of karate. The class helps develop focus, balance,
coordination, listening skills and respect.
- Children's class - this class is geared to students between the
ages of 7 to 10. Students from the Tiny Tigers group can join this
class upon attaining their orange belt. In addition to learning
basic techniques, kata and self defense, students will also be
exposed to basic weaponry and sparring. Some equipment will
be required to participate in the weapons/sparring classes.
- The adult class is designed for students over 11 or those that
have attained a minimum of Green belt. This covers our full
curriculum in Anshinkai-do Karate, which includes strategies and
studies from Kosho Ryu Kempo, peripheral studies - iaido,
escrima, shodo, history and self defense. These classes offer a
great opportunity for families to train together in a fun and safe
environment.
- Strategies class is offered by invite only. Studies focus on higher
level concepts relating to martial arts. Comparisons and analysis
of other martial arts, texts and philosophies will be applied to the
curriculum. Additional focus on weapon arts, kumite and cultural
arts will develop a higher level understanding of relationships
between all of these disciplines.
